Transcan^® Sentinel Rigid (DIN)

The TranScan Sentinel Rigid Refrigerated Vehicle Temperature Recorder has been designed to meet the growing demand for a simpler easier to use and lower cost recording system.

Approved to European Standard EN 12830 Class 1 meeting the objectives of directives 92/1/EEC and 93/43/EEC.

TranScan Sentinel recorders include the facility to select the operating language (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian Portuguese or Dutch) with a unique in-built HELP system, this makes Transcan the only multi language self documenting temperature recorder.

TranScan Sentinel supports up to 2 separate temperature inputs from precision NTC thermistor sensors and a single on/off door switch.

To comply with the requirements of the UK Food Hygiene Amendment Regulations each thermistor sensor has a dampend thermal response (T90 of approximately 8 minutes). Optional product probe temperature sensors are available in two formats.

An ‘Insertion Probe’ which is rounded with a semi-pointed end, normally used for direct insertion into products such as meat carcasses, and a ‘Between Pack Probe’ which is flattened to allow introduction between boxes or cartons of food.

Product probes have a faster response time than air temperature sensors (T90 of approximately 1 minutes) and are advantageous for operators of multidrop delivery vehicles where air temperature sensing alone may not provide a meaningful indication of product temperature.

It is also possible to select a display symbol representative of the event being monitored. The interface between the event to be monitored and the TranScan recorder is via a relay or supplied solid state switch or any other appropriate device which provides a volt free contact.

The TranScan Sentinel clock includes automatic adjustment for winter/summer time.

For external installation on trailers, choose the TranScan Sentinel ‘T’ in its compact weatherproof enclosure. For in-cab installation in trucks choose the TranScan Sentinel ‘R’ which is designed to fit a standard ISO car radio cut out, alternatively small panel vans when a spare car radio cut out is not normally available choose the TranScan Sentinel ‘C’ in its low profile enclosure ideal for mounting on an internal bulkhead.

TranScan Sentinel now includes a user selectable recording interval which is factory preset to 15 minutes but can alternatively be set to 5 or 30 minutes as required.

The TranScan data memory scrolls when full, with the newest data overwriting the oldest. Data retained in memory may be printed out as individual days or groups of days as required.
